The bronze medal of the OMNITEL U18 European Championship goes to Latvia after a 75-49 win in the third place game against Serbia at Siemens Arena in Vilnius, Lithuania on Sunday evening.

Basketball Country!

Lithuania indeed is one of the best places for Basketball. There is a popular t-shirt worn by fans that says "3 Million", meaning the whole three million inhabitants supporting their team. It is not an exageration. Basketball is like a religion in the small Baltic country and the U18 European Championship in Vilnius gave a great preview for next year's EuroBasket. Not many 18 year old players have already two gold medals and two MVP trophies under their belt. Jonas Valanciunas visits with FIBA Europe TV to talk about the final triumph against Russia and the record breaking game in front of 13,000 fans.

Croatia Roll To 5th Place

Four more spots were decided on the final day of the OMNITEL U18 European Championship as Croatia won the fifth spot with a 92-77 win over Poland and France took the seventh place with a 77-74 victory over Greece at Siemens Arena in Vilnius, Lithuania on Sunday afternoon.

Ukraine Survivie In Division A

After just one year in Division A the U18 national team of Sweden dropped back to Division B following a 79-73 loss to Ukraine in the Classification Round of the OMNITEL U18 European Championship at Lietuvos Rytas Arena in Vilnius, Lithuania on Sunday afternoon.
